Geisha in a Glass Tomb

In 2007 my grandmother passed away, and we flew out from our home in Washington State to attend her funeral in New York. This geisha doll, bought in Japan from the craftsman by my father, was one of her most prized possessions. She loved it so much that she had a custom fitted glass case made to enclose the beautiful doll. Now that she's gone, the doll sits on top of a seldom used piano in our house. This doll has great significance for me, and I find it beautiful when the light of the sun comes through the window and lights it like this, so I thought I might share.
